Nick's career began as a research biochemist (forensic science and pharmaceuticals) leading to roles in sales management and marketing. Work as a university tutor led to teaching and almost 30 years in education, teaching primary, secondary and post-16, with seventeen years as a Headteacher / Executive Head. He also has successful experience establishing community-based companies and serving as a Director.
Nick's dedication to supporting clients’ professional success motivated him to embark on studies at Cambridge University, completing the Certificate in Coaching. His current Diploma studies at Cambridge are contributing to Ph.D research in motivation and measuring the quality and impact of professional coaching.
His current roles include an executive coaching post at Cambridge University's Judge Business School on the Executive MBA, coaching senior leaders, personal coaching clients and executives in the private and voluntary sectors and consultancy in schools and universities supporting their enhanced professional performance and personal growth.
As an Accredited Trainer of deBono Creative Thinking SystemsTM, Nick blends various learning and development methods with a range of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and mindfulness practices.
As a professional coach and member of the Association for Coaching, he works within their professional and ethical requirements.
